Please remember our book fair will be held after school on Tuesday and Wednesday. This will be held in the hall once you have collected your children.

Parents wishing their child to stay full time must now collect their children at 3.15pm from the usual collection place. Children remaining part time are collected at 1.15pm, again from the designated collection area.

CALLING ALL NEW FAMILIES!!! Katie Nash has asked me to forward this information in the hope some or all of you will be able to come along to support the school.
The PTA AGM will take place this Wednesday 18th September at 8:30pm in The Red Lion, Chelwood Gate. The later time is because some Kestrals parents will be attending the open evening at Chailey School earlier that evening.
It would be fantastic to see lots of faces, old and new!
If you are interested in holding one of the ‘official’ positions of either Chair, Treasurer or Secretary then Wednesday will be the day to confirm your commitment.
In addition to having the above positions filled, we are hoping to have a wider group of parents who may be interested in getting involved in, say, 1 event during the year and form part of an event team for that one event. This would mean that the fundraising role is shared between a greater number of parents.
It would be fantastic to have as many of you involved as possible. Whoever ends up being the Chair may have his/her suggestions around sharing the responsibility.

The ‘weekly learning’ section of the blog has been updated so you know some of the things the children did last week. If you get a chance please take a look.
All the children spent the day getting to know each other and each others names. They also chose a lunch buddy from the class that they sat with at lunch. They all managed lunchtime brilliantly and I’m sure if any of them would like lunches later this week they will manage this. Come and chat to me tomorrow before school at 8.45 if you would like to talk about this. I will be in the main playground.
Please ensure you write your child’s lunch choice on the board that I will leave by the steps to the classroom. If they have brought a packed lunch please also put this on the form. Lunch boxes will go in a designated space in the classroom. Please collect your child at 1pm from the usual place.

A huge well done to everyone on the first session in school. Despite the rain everyone was friendly and kind to each other and seemed to enjoy their time at school.
I would like to post photos on the site while we wait for Tapestry to begin. Forms will be sent home this week for parents to sign to say whether or not you are happy to give consent for this. Please complete these as soon as possible and return to the school office.
