Final week of term

I cannot believe how quickly we have reached the end of this term! During the week we will continue our ladybird farmyard thriller theme and take part in a fun Discovery day on Friday. I have posted a few more games on the home learning section of the blog should the children wish to do these. I hope as many of you are able to go to the open gardens on Saturday. We had a school trip there last year and I cannot express what a wonderful place it is! You’ll love it. So much to see and do.

Next weeks homework

Please see below for the next weeks homework mission.
I would like every child to take part in this next week please.
missionLast week we began looking at making healthy choices.  I would now like to see exactly what they would choose if asked to pack their own lunch!!!  I would like every child to have a packed lunch, one day during the week. On the day they come into school with this special lunch please make sure we know it their Homework lunch.  Please let them have whatever they want…within reason obviously, still keeping to the school rules of (no chocolate bars like Mars bars or fizzy drinks). We will be sharing their choices with the class. It will be tempting to say….you need a sandwich or fruit etc. but please don’t as I have spoken to the kitchen and they have kindly said next week she will make extra baguettes in case they don’t make any healthy choices! In this case I will get them to eat the baguette before their unhealthy choice 😉 Thank you! I appreciate that they receive free school meals so this is an additional cost to you. Please come and see me if you are unable to do this with your child and we will find an alternative for them.

Farm visit

We had such a great time this morning. A huge thank you to Liz and Mark for allowing us to go and see the lambs and find out all about the things a farmer has to do. We had a great time and the children were as always, a credit to us. Well mannered, sensible, enthusiastic and fun. It’s a fair trek but they were all up for the challenge and the thought of lunch helped to get us back in record time. We were lucky enough to see two deer on the return journey as well!

We are off to see the lambs tomorrow morning during OWL. Please arrive promptly in the morning as we will need to set off straight after register to make sure we have maximum time there before heading back for lunch as usual. School uniform as usual please.
