Thursday’s Tea Party

Hopefully your invitations will arrive today as we posted them yesterday.

At school tomorrow the children have decided to wear an outfit they love for the party. They may wear their outfit all day. Please remember a coat and sensible shoes though! čÖé

We look forward to seeing you at 2.50pm. Please wait outside our blue door as usual.

The children will be writing and posting you personal invitations this week but I thought I would give you some advance information just in case Royal Mail isn’t perfect.
On Thursday 14th at 2.50pm we would like to invite you into class to informally meet Ali Gale. Ali will be job sharing the role of class teacher with me after half term. The children have already met her on a few occasions and has a wealth of experience working in Infant and Primary schools. I am really looking forward to working with her. I know she is thrilled to be part of our school and looking forward to getting to know everyone in our community. Please join us in welcoming her by popping in to say hello.

It has been brought to my attention that there has been some discussion on social media around how reading is working in the class. I will talk to parents individually at parents evening about the progress of their children but in the meantime I would appreciate parents coming to me directly if they have concerns of this kind rather than sharing them in this way.

I would like to reassure parents that all the children are showing┬áreal enthusiasm for┬áreading – I look forward to hearing how this is going at home following the discussions at the beginning of the year.
