Happy Christmas!

Week beginning 19/12/16

This week we will be holding a discovery day on Tuesday. For those of you new to the school, this is a day when the children all take part in activities that are not part of their usual lessons. On Tuesday the children will take part in both a skipping and a street dance workshop. Please make sure they have their pe in school on Tuesday and can all children bring trainers, named in a bag.

On Monday we will be making Christingles for our service on Wednesday, so please remember your orange tomorrow if you haven’t already brought it in. If you are able to help hand these out during the service please let me know as I need a hand doing the glow sticks too!

We have filled our pasta jar again and so I’ve had a word with the big man himself and Santa is free on Wednesday morning so will be popping in to see us:) Great job Hedgehogs!

May I take this opportunity to thank everyone for all their support this term and wish you all a happy Christmas.

School will return on Wednesday 4th January 2017!

Nativity DVD

Huge well done to everyone today. If anyone has any good shots of the performance that you are happy to share, please email them through and I will upload them onto this blog.

If you have ordered or would like a DVD please let the office or myself have payment (£10) Mark, the videographer has kindly agreed to drop them off to us on Friday! Any late entries will have to be posted and would incure a small postage fee. He has apparently put it all together already!

Don’t forget it is our Christmas lunch tomorrow. If you haven’t ordered this please ensure you bring a packed lunch tomorrow.

Thursday is the panto. This will be held during school time and we will be back at school for normal pick up.

Friday is Christmas jumper day. Please either wear a Christmas jumper with your school uniform or add some tinsel to a jumper! £1 contribution will go to charity.

Week beginning 12/12/16

Monday- Please take your child to the church for the usual time of 8.50. If you are able to help and get them changed before you go that would be fabulous, but if you are unable to there will be members of staff on hand to help. We will perform to the rest of the school before walking back to school. If you are able to help walk back at 10.00 please let me know.

On Tuesday the church will not be open until 8.50. We have the PTA and the Shortfilm company setting up and to ensure everyone’s safety we ask that you wait outside the church until this time. Our members of staff will help them change on this day. Please drop them to the back of the church to be registered before enjoying coffee and cake in the main church. All contributions you make for this for this will go to the school and we will hold a collection for the church during our final hymn. The performance will begin at 9.30am

We will have lots of Christmas related activities taking place this week. Writing to Father Christmas, counting baubles on Christmas trees, making cards, delivering presents when role playing Santa outside to name but a few. We will also go to see the pantomime on Thursday and all part time children are invited to stay for the whole day for this. We have our Christmas dinner on Wednesday too.
