Hopefully you all received the email explaining why we are unable to visit the farm. Instead the children decided ice-creams would make it all better 😉
We will be having ice-creams of some description (Mini milk style I’m think) If your child is unable to have this please let me know or bring in an alternative for them if possible. Please come to school as usual in uniform tomorrow. Many thanks, Viki
On Thursday I have managed to secure a trip to The Old Dairy farm in Sliders lane. My apologies for the late notice. We are hoping to spend the whole day there but obviously the weather could hamper this. If it remains good for the day (We will decide by Wednesday) we will be walking back to school so children will need to be dropped at the farm at 9.00am and then collected from school at the usual time. However if it looks like the weather is forecast rain the children will need to be collected from the farm at 11.45 to return to school to have lunch.
All children must have a packed lunch on this day and will need to be dressed in NON school uniform/ home clothes. A letter will be handed out tomorrow for lifts to be organised (as we did for the windmill) but I’m hoping the weather will be kind to us and you wont need to collect them part way through the day. Any problems please just pop in and see me.
I have ordered lunch for each child for tomorrow. If they would like to bring a packed lunch please just get them to bring it in when we return to school. They will need to wear home clothes appropriate for the weather with sensible footwear for climbing lots of steps. Each child will need their water bottle to carry on the trip. No book bags or bags. Thank you. See you at 9am on the forest, once any siblings have been dropped off at school.
Please don’t forget your child’s consent form and money for the windmill if you haven’t already done so already!
Hopefully you all read about your child needing trainers for PE. They will be needed this week please.
The children decided to make a cake for Liz, Mark and George to thank them for showing us their farm and giving us lots of eggs. They designed it and decided on all the things they would need to make it, they then made the cake and finally decorated it! Today we invited them in to present it to them. They brought us all back a piece which I am sure the children have already enjoyed!!
