On Wednesday, the children have decided to have a …….fancy, superhero, princess, Gorrid the Horrid, police party. So please can they wear something related to this 😉
Hopefully everyone received an invite yesterday, if not take a look in their book bags and hopefully it’s there. Any time from 2.50 to pop in is great. If your child goes home after lunch on this day, anytime from 12.30
It looks like the office has manage to get this up and running for us. Please check your emails and connect! Most of the assessments haven’t been made live yet for you to see but dont worry they are on there way. Any problems and we will try and iron these out during the week.
Please check the Weekly learning for info about the week especially Wednesday.
PS I have added info about Al Start’s CD’s in the Home learning section of the blog for those interested.
On Thursday 11th October I will be holding a meeting for parents at 6pm. This will be an opportunity for me to discuss information regarding your child’s learning including reading and assessment. I hope everyone will be available to attend but please let me know if you are unable to.
Please look at the ‘Weekly Learning’ section for the homework missions. I don’t think everyone has seen these as only a few children completed this last week. Most tasks are things that will assist your child’s learning during their time at school or help them consolidate school learning, so we really encourage this participation.
Please look at the Weekly learning section of the blog. Next week has lots of exciting things happening for the children and I would hate for anyone to miss out.
The church is also hosting a Harvest Supper please see details below.
On Thursday 27th we will be going to visit the church in preparation for our Harvest service next week. Rather than having to navigate the walk there and back, please can parents drop their child at the church anytime from 8.50-9.00 Clare, Val and myself will be there to meet you. We will then walk the children back to school in time for break.
Your child will NOT need their book bag on this day. The lunch menu will be there to complete as usual and if they are having a packed lunch please bring them up too. Everyone will need their water bottle. Any Thursday breakfast club takers please let me know tomorrow.
I will of course speak to all the children about this tomorrow so they know what’s happening. Paddy will be giving the children a tour of the church including going up the bell tower!!
Any questions please catch me in the morning.
Please make sure your child has a packed lunch or something you know they will eat this week as they will be at school for the whole day. As you know full stomachs contribute to making happy children. Please look at the menu on the letters section of the blog (Week 2) to see whats on the menu. The lunch board will be out each day. Please ensure you fill this in each day with the code, even if they are having a packed lunch.
Please also look at the Weekly Learning section for an overview of the week.
Everyone did so well today! We are all getting to know each other and get used to all the new names and routines, so having our own lunches today really helped. Please can we continue to do this tomorrow and Wednesday. Hopefully by Thursday some children may feel ready to have school lunches if they wish. I will place the lunch board up (outside my blue doors) on Thursday morning if any children do decide to have a school dinner.
